The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as defined by the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, refers to the civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life.
Improving ADA compliance includes offering accessibility across the Internet, as noted in Title II. In order to make websites accessible to everyone and to take the necessary steps toward compliance, the design of the site must meet rigorous standards.
